Rounders (1998)
The media has always portrayed poker culture as a deep and dark underground, full of unsavory individuals. This is best captured in the movie "Rounders." Starring Matt Damon, this movie follows the fictional story of a college poker player whose friend becomes indebted to another gambler and decides to take his debt and raise funds through underground poker. Although it is very entertaining, the movie is not an accurate representation of poker culture, but due to its popularity and following poker movies, they have painted poker as a type of mob ruled culture, where every one participates in it is as shady as the characters the films portray.
